In 2015 I was named the Dr. Tom and Betty Lawrence National History Teacher of the Year from the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. I was honored to have been able to speak at the NSSAR's National Congress in 2015 in Louisville, Kentucky and in 2019 in Costa Mesa, California. 
I have also presented at local chapters of the SAR and  Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Civil War roundtables, and local organizations.
